Top Ten Tuesday!

Good very early morning or very late night depending on how you look at it! It's a blustery, stormy, rainy sort of night here in Texas, USA and I thought it was a perfect time to settle down on the couch and figure out my top ten Tuesday for this week. Not to mention, I thought I should probably get it done before the power goes out. It is a flickering! I think this will keep me busy until the kindle is fully charged, I am trying to be prepared to battle my insomnia with something other than staring into the darkness and freaking out my dogs.

Anyways, back to the original topic! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the Broke and Bookish and this weeks theme is..... **drum roll**

Top Ten Books on my Spring TBR list!
((otherwise known as books released in spring that I want to read!))

1.) Predestined by Abby Glines
Expected publication: April 4th, 2012
You would think after helping save her boyfriend from an eternity in Hell that things would go back to normal. Well, as normal as life can be when you can see souls and your boyfriend is Death. But for Pagan Moore, things are just getting weirder.

2.) Toxic by Jus Accardo
Expected publication: May 1st, 2012
When a Six saved Kale’s life the night of Sumrun, she warned there would be consequences. A trade-off. Something taken for the life they gained. But Dez never imagined she’d lose the one thing she’d give anything to keep… And as if it’s not enough Dez finds her immunity to Kale fading, the Six brought in to help Kale learn to control his killer touch starts drooling on him the moment they meet. Worse than that? Jade can touch Kale. But bimbo Barbie is the least of Dez's problems.

3.) Dreamless by Josephine Angelini
Expected publication: May 29, 2012
As the only Scion that can enter Hades at will, Helen descends to the Underworld in search of a way to overcome the Furies and end the cycle of revenge that has cursed the Scions. But she’s running out of time. Each descent weakens her both in mind and spirit. A mysterious stranger might be her only salvation, but the price may be her love for Lucas Delos.

4.) The Story of Us by Deb Caletti
Expected publication: April 24th, 2012
**I kinda just love this cover**
Cricket’s on a self-imposed break from her longtime boyfriend—but she’s picked a bad week to sort out her love life. For one thing, her mother’s romance is taking center stage: After jilting two previous fianc├ęs, her mom is finally marrying Dan Jax, whom Cricket loves. But as wedding attendees arrive for a week of festivities at a guesthouse whose hippie owners have a sweet, sexy son—Ash—complications arise.

5.) Masque of the Red Death by Bethany Griffin
Expected publication: April 24th, 2012
**Yet another BEAUTIFUL cover**
Everything is in ruins. A devastating plague has decimated the population. And those who are left live in fear of catching it as the city crumbles to pieces around them. So what does Araby Worth have to live for? Nights in the Debauchery Club, beautiful dresses, glittery make-up . . . and tantalizing ways to forget it all. But in the depths of the club—in the depths of her own despair—Araby will find more than oblivion. She will find Will, the terribly handsome proprietor of the club. And Elliott, the wickedly smart aristocrat. Neither boy is what he seems. Both have secrets. Everyone does. And Araby may find something not just to live for, but to fight for—no matter what it costs her.

6.) Insurgent by Veronica Roth
Expected publication: May 1st, 2012
One choice can transform you—or it can destroy you. But every choice has consequences, and as unrest surges in the factions all around her, Tris Prior must continue trying to save those she loves—and herself—while grappling with haunting questions of grief and forgiveness, identity and loyalty, politics and love.

7.) Of Poseidon by Anna Banks
Expected publication: May 22nd, 2012
Galen is the prince of the Syrena, sent to land to find a girl he’s heard can communicate with fish. Emma is on vacation at the beach. When she runs into Galen—literally, both teens sense a connection. But it will take several encounters, including a deadly one with a shark, for Galen to be convinced of Emma’s gifts. Now, if he can only convince Emma that she holds the key to his kingdom . . .

8.) In Honor by Jessi Kirby
Expected Publication: May 8th, 2012
Hours after her brother’s military funeral, Honor opens the last letter Finn ever sent. In her grief, she interprets his note as a final request and spontaneously decides to go to California to fulfill it.     Honor gets as far as the driveway before running into Rusty, Finn’s best friend since third grade and his polar opposite. She hasn’t seen Rusty in ages, but it’s obvious he is as arrogant and stubborn as ever—not to mention drop-dead gorgeous. Despite Honor’s better judgment, the two set off together on a voyage from Texas to California. Along the way, they find small and sometimes surprising ways to ease their shared loss and honor Finn’s memory—but when shocking truths are revealed at the end of the road, will either of them be able to cope with the consequences?

9.) Chosen Ones by Tiffany Truitt
Expected publication: April 10th, 2012
Sixteen-year-old Tess lives in a compound in what was once the Western United States, now decimated after a devastating fourth World War. But long before that, life as we knew it had been irrevocably changed, as women mysteriously lost the ability to bring forth life. Faced with the extinction of the human race, the government began the Council of Creators, meant to search out alternative methods of creating life. The resulting artificial human beings, or Chosen Ones, were extraordinarily beautiful, unbelievably strong, and unabashedly deadly.

10.) Bitterblue by Kristin Cashore
Expected publication: May 1st, 2012
Eight years after Graceling, Bitterblue is now queen of Monsea. But the influence of her father, a violent psychopath with mind-altering abilities, lives on. Her advisors, who have run things since Leck died, believe in a forward-thinking plan: Pardon all who committed terrible acts under Leck’s reign, and forget anything bad ever happened. But when Bitterblue begins sneaking outside the castle—disguised and alone—to walk the streets of her own city, she starts realizing that the kingdom has been under the thirty-five-year spell of a madman, and the only way to move forward is to revisit the past.

And that is my list! Some of them I actually just found while looking around for books to go on this list. Some of them I fell in love with the covers, others, the synopsis pulled me in. Either way, April and May are going to be busy months for reading!

What books are YOU looking forward to the most?!

  6. I've been meaning to try reading something by Deb Calletti. A lot of people compare her to Sarah Dessen. I'll have to add that one to my list. Thanks for stopping by my list, by the way! You should definitely give Bumped another try. It's hard to follow at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's awesome.
